Forest Friend & Fabric Arts

Who: Children 7-11 years old (caregiver must remain on site)

When: Thursday’s 5:00- 6:00pm, May, 8- June 12

Cost: $300 (supplies included)

Come join OT Works and GroWild Boutique Playroom for a six-week Open Studio fabric arts class and make a forest friend doll. We will support learners of all skill levels construct a forest friend doll that includes a fun wardrobe and accessories. This class supports learners learn basic sewing and fabric construction skills, while supporting fine motor skills, visual motor skills, and problem solving. But let’s be honest it offers an opportunity to make friends, have funs, and make a treasured toy your child will cherish for years to come.

Play with Purpose: Picky Eaters

Growing Healthy Eaters: Let’s Play with Food

Course Overview:

This community intervention course aims to support the developmental foundations of healthy eating habits in children aged 3-5 years old. This course helps young kids, and their caregivers navigate the journey towards creating a healthy curios eater. This course is specifically developed for picky eaters aged 3-5 and their families. Course meets once a week and is paired with an asynchronous online course you can revisit course material as many times as needed.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand the basics of functional nutrition and its application in early childhood.

  • Learn the principles of the SOS Approach to Feeding and how it supports sensory and oral development.

  • Equip caregivers with practical strategies to encourage healthy eating habits.

  • Create a supportive community environment for sharing experiences and challenges.

  • Provide a fun curriculum of noneating food fun to improve your child’s experience of food and eating.
