OT Works is excited to bring therapy to life on a beautiful 5-acre farm in Brush Prairie, WA.
Led by Dr. Courtney McIntyre, OTD, OTR/L—an American Hippotherapy Certified Occupational Therapist (AHCB)—our program blends the power of nature, meaningful activity, and equine movement to support children’s growth and development. Hippotherapy is the skilled use of a horse’s movement by licensed & certified occupational, physical, or speech therapists to engage sensory, motor, and cognitive systems in ways that promote lasting functional outcomes.
As part of a comprehensive therapy plan, farm-based sessions go beyond traditional clinic walls. Children gain strength, coordination, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences like planting, caring for animals, and exploring the outdoors. These natural activities foster confidence, resilience, social connection, and self-regulation—while making therapy fun and purposeful.
